Welcome to War comrades!Have you ever heard of "Competetive Writing"? No? That's because it's new, as of this moment as it enters your brain.
And so I say again: Welcome to War! Here you will be fighting not only the writers of the other side of the story, but also the limits on your imagination! Fight against the social barriers and pretenses erected against you, break free and lift your head, surprise yourself with what you are capable of! Drop seeds of detail like bombs flowering into dissention and choas in enemy ranks, fight with concepts and ideas sharp as razor blades, see your enemy and plan ahead- adapt, decieve, conquer, write!
Remember, friend, this is a battle. We fight here with characters and creative devices, plot twists and imagination. Gather yourself and gather a team, your object is to compete with the writers on the other side of the two sided plot topic. Together, your team and the team of the opposing side will build a story with the intention to defeat not the writers, but the ideas behind the written material.
Each team will be responsible to create their own side of the story representing their side of an idea or emotion, and to interact appropriatley with the other side. Although this is competition, the primary opponent is yourself. Learn to forego any pride or intentions for victory, and instead channel yourself into a spectacular story. Work with your opponents, and you will, so long as you learn to work more selflessly than your enemies, win.
